Mary Agnes Bryan, 98, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her residence.

She was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. James Catholic Church where she was involved with Our Lady's Rosary Guild and Forever Young Club. She worked in the St. James School cafeteria and at Briarpatch Restaurant, and was an avid quilter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Bryan; her parents, Clarence William and Elizabeth Gunning Beeler; a brother, Lawrence W. "Nick" Beeler; three sisters, Helen Alberico, Oleta Beeler and Sister Mary de Montfort; and a great-grandchild, Lucas Cain Espejo.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Malcolm "Mac") Howard of Radcliff; three sons, Robert "Bob" (Bonnie) Bryan of Elizabethtown, Clarence (Shirley) Bryan of Tecumseh, Okla., and James "Greg" (Claire) Bryan of Elizabethtown; a sister, Nancy Dillard of Elizabethtown; 14 grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Lowe, Jennifer (Jake) Owen, Kristi (Tony) Rogers, Bobbie Sue (Rob) Barbour, Chris (Amanda) Bryan, Shelly (Mark) Tucker, Kelly (LeRoy) Dunn, Jeremy Bryan, Shannon (Adam) Grimes, Josh (Amber) Bryan, Richard (Danielle) Ledesma, Johnnie Ledesma, David (Tonya) Rodriguez and Heather (Michael) Klutts; 24 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Brittany and Theron Lowe, Alaina and Austin Rogers, Sierra Barbour, Ella and Emma Tucker, Malakhi and Isaiah Dunn, Jacob and Madison Bryan, Ashley Espejo, Allison and Abbie Grimes, Cameron, Savannah and Max Ledesma, Josh Ledesma, Nikki, Julie, D.J. and Gabby Rodriguez and Lilly Klutts; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Laurel Padgett.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Hardesty officiating. Burial follows in St. James Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A prayer vigil is at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
