Michael Edward Bellonis, 76, of Vine Grove, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville.

Retired Sgt. 1st Class Bellonis was retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 113 in Elizabethtown; and had worked with the Vine Grove Boy Scouts for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Bellonis; his mother, Nettie Kane; and a sister, Mary Ellen Newman
Survivors include, his loving wife, Norma "Sue" Bellonis of Vine Grove; seven children, Michael Bel-lonis and his wife, Vicki, of Nashville, Tenn., Mary Kay Emory of Bowling Green, Matthew Bellonis and his wife, Susan, of Nashville, Terry Bellonis of Radcliff, Debbie Atcher and her husband, Tim, of Radcliff, Pam Carnes and her husband, Steve, of Leitchfield, Chuck Bellonis and his wife, Karen, of Flaherty; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanie Perry; one brother, Joseph Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bellonis's funeral service is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Faith Lutheran Church Wisconsin Synod in Radcliff with Paul Horn officiating. Burial follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff with military honors.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove.
