Naomi Romans, 89, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Kindred Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 14, 1923, in Butler County but lived almost her entire adult live in Hardin County. She was a longtime member of Grandview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Leo Romans; an infant daughter, Nancy Louise; her parents, Will and Dora Keown; and all her six brothers and sisters, Chester Keown, Volley Keown, Eileen Amos, Ollie B. Phelps, Flora Davis and Cora Keown; and a daughter-in-law, Pat Romans.
She is survived by two sons, Gerold Romans of Elizabethtown and Roger (Tammy) Romans of Cecilia; one daughter, Joyce (Ronnie) Morris of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Larry Romans, Allen (Sandy) Morris, Amy (Todd) Sills, Danielle (David) Reesor, Carly (Sammy) Cabera, Jill (Steven) Wolf; and nine great-grandchildren, Julia Morris, Will Anderson, Landon Sills, Luke Sills, Isaiah Reesor, Alyssa Cabera, Lilly Cabera, Isaac Cabera and Amelia Wolf.
A service to celebrate her life is at 1 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Eric Oliver of Cecilia Baptist Church and Brother Wilford Hatfield of United Baptist Church officiating. Burial follows in Howevalley Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Grandview Baptist Church.
