Ray Gene Jaggers, 82, of Glendale, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at his home.

Ray was a retired dairy farmer of 41 years and also was a carpenter who built many houses. He was a member of Gilead Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Gene Jaggers; his parents, Thomas and Hattie (Puckett) Jaggers; two brothers, Jessie Jaggers and Charles Jaggers; and a sister, Christine Tharpe.
He is survived by his wife, Maydell Jaggers of Glendale; four sons, Dexter (Laurie) Jaggers of White Mills, Walter Jaggers and Jackie Jaggers, both of Glendale and Patrick Jaggers of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Jennetta Jaggers and Thelma Lawsone, both of Louisville and Dorothy Smith of Florida; eight grandchil-dren, Autumn, Gabrielle, Patrick Ray, Lynne, Dustin, Erik, Dakota and Kamlaand; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Sam Hinkson and Brother Lewis Priddy officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
