Raymond Edgar "Ray" Steller, 87, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Fort Thomas.

Ray served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a salesperson with Rusk Heating & Air Conditioning, was active in scouting and served as a volunteer for Bishop Brossart High School and St. Joseph Parish in Cold Spring.

Ray was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Newport to the late Raymond and Clara Bertsche Steller.

He was preceded in death by wife, Rita Gunnewick Steller.

Ray is survived by his wife, Joan Steller of Fort Thomas; five sons, Tom (Janet) of Elizabethtown, Bob (Jill) and Steve (Sue) Steller, all of Fort Thomas, Dan (Lori) Steller of Jacksonville, Fla., and Rick (Angelle) Steller of Miami Township, Ohio; a daughter, Connie (Jim) Dunn of Kenwood, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at St. Joseph Church in Cold Spring. Burial follows in St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Fort Thomas.
