Retired Staff Sgt. Howard F. Ayers, 76, of Radcliff, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Hardin Me-morial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Mr. Ayers was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brigitte Ayers.
His survivors include one daughter, Sonja Ayers of Radcliff; one stepdaughter, Monica Wilcox of Radcliff; two grandchildren, Kristina Statam of Radcliff and Sarah Nichols of Indiana; and several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Ayers's funeral service is at noon Monday, June 25, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff with military honors.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
