Sopha Lee Turner, 89, of Magnolia, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

She was a member of Mount Zion Separate Baptist Church in Magnolia and was very active in Nolynn Association of Separate Baptist in Christ of Kentucky and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Ellis Turner; a son, Charlie Carol Turner; and her parents, Berling Elwood and Opha Jane Pottinger Whitlow.
She is survived by two daughters, Elvina (Ronnie) Marcum of Greensburg and Brenda (Lynn) Skaggs of Magnolia; five grandchildren, Andra Skaggs (Darin) Deaton, Steve (Sandy) Skaggs, Billy (Tammy) Turner, Dana (Tim) Mullens and Eric (Ashley Benningfield) Marcum; and eight great-grandchildren, Craig Turner, Ashleigh Turner, Emily Turner, Matthew Turner, Allie Kessler, Kayla Skaggs, Christian Skaggs and Makenna Deaton.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, July 27, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Revs. Gerald Gardner and Roger Pepper officiating. Burial follows in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. EDT Saturday at the funeral home.
