Steven Wayne "Skillet" Willett, 36, of Boston, Ky., passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 16, 1977, in Bardstown. He loved fishing and riding his motorcycles. He was a kind person who would give you the shirt off of his back. He worked for Vittitow Basement Walls along with his uncles and cousins. He attended St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Carl and Lucille Marie Price Willett; and one nephew, Joseph Dale Willett.

He is survied by his wife, Tonya Makesell Willett of Boston; one daughter, Amber Gail Willett of Bardstown; three stepchildren, Kayla, Nick and Jessica Willett, all of Boston; his mother and stepfather, Brenda and Randy Phillips of Bardstown; his father, Phillip Wayne "Flip" Vittitow of New Haven; his stepfather who helped raise him, Ronald Dale Willett of New Hope; his paternal grandparents, John P. "Jack" and Anna Marie Rust Vittitow, all of New Haven; five brothers, Carlos (Keri) Willett of New Hope and Jacob (Nicole) McCubbins and Alex, Issac and Alvin Vittitow, all of New Haven; two stepbrothers, Anthony and DeWayne Edlin, both of Bardstown; two stepsisters, Brandie and Kimberly Phillips, both of Bardstown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral for Steven Wayne "Skillet" Willett is at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton, pastor of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, officiating. Burial follows in St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church Cemetery in New Haven.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. Friday at William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven. A prayer service is at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
