Thelma Hunt Kerrick, 96, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at The Allegro.

She was a native of Hardin County and raised six children. She then returned to work for the state of Kentucky, where she worked in human resources, which she retired from in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merritt A. Kerrick; her parents, Stanley B. and Clara French Hunt; five sisters, Mae Horn, Virginia Cosby, Margie Kennady, Helen McDowell and Betty Brown; and two brothers, Elvin Hunt and Frank Hunt.

She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda (Jim) Morrison of Hodgenville, Judy (Barry) Clark of Prince Edward Island, Canada, and Evelyn (Dennis) Eldridge of Springfield, Ill.; three sons, Louis (Jo) Kerrick of Harrodsburg, Tom (Leslie) Kerrick of Bowling Green and Steve (Sharon) Kerrick of Louisville; three brothers, S.M. (Eileen) Hunt of Minneapolis, David (Sondy) Hunt of Georgetown, Texas, and Melvin (Gladys) Hunt of Lexington; three sisters-in-laws; Mary Alice Hayden, Lucy Kerrick and Luwanna Hunt; 18 grandchildren, Patrick Kerrick, Doug Kerrick, Susan Miller, Brian Morrison, David Morrison, Amie Clark, Jay Clark, Ashley Clark-Watson, Joshua Eldridge, Bethany Ballenger, Jacob Eldridge, Angela Nusky, Michael Kerrick, Remy Gaines, Lauren Kerrick, Sarah Kerrick, Sarah Wies and Ryan Spickard; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at First Christian Church with Brother Chris Kiger officiating. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College St., Elizabethtown, and continues at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
