Thomas Gilbert "Coop" Cooper, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Indiana.

He was a native of Red Bluff, California, and retired from the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam and was a scout. He was the co-founder and owner of Lost Pounds Pet Center and Forever Homes for Paws in Radcliff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Betty Dobson Cooper.

He is survived by his wife, Norma S. Cooper; two children, Thomas Randall (Christine) Cooper and Anne (Mike) Davidson, all of Elizabethtown; two stepchildren, Steven (Josie) Scovill of Broomfield, Colorado, and Dawn (Damon) Hacker of Elizabethtown; a brother, Roger Cooper of California; two sisters, Mary Moffet of Oklahoma and Loretta Knapp; five grandchildren, Haley Cooper, Dalton Cooper, Donovan Cooper, Megan Brown and Katie Brown; and four stepgrandchildren, Ian Scovill, Talon Scovill, Kyla Norris and Allyson Norris.

Cremation was chosen by the family.
