Virgie E. Coakley, 92, of Upton, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at North Hardin Nursing Home in Radcliff.

She retired from Western Electric. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and American Legion in Maderira Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marlin Watkins and Raymond Coakley; her parents, Harrison and Dolie Ann Wooden Logsdon; five brothers; two sisters; and one half-sister.
She is survived by a son, Roy Watkins of Campbellsville; two daughters, Barbara Miller and Betty Riggs, both of Upton; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton with the Revs. Glenn Routt and Earl Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
