Wilburn "Bill" Overt Nunn Jr., 82, of Sonora, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at his family home.

Born Feb. 17, 1930, in Louisville, Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran, a boy scout troop leader, pipefitter, heating and air conditioning contractor, owner of several businesses (Kentucky Mechanical, based in Louisville, being the largest) and a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.
He was a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church in Louisville and Oak Hill Baptist Church in Sonora. His passions were his family and his music.
His memory will be cherished by all.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, the late Wilburn Overt (Bill) and Mamie Lee (Hornback) Nunn; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Barbara (Farris) Nunn; six children, Robin (Jim) Farris, Billee (Glenn) Bridges, Kimberly (Mike) Ledden, Sharon Nunn, Teena Daniels and Candace (Trevor) Clopton; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Edna Fravert, Mary Frances Eddington and Roseanne McDaniel.
The funeral is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Sonora with the Revs. Mike Walker and Eric Page officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Manakee Funeral Home in Upton is in charge of arrangements.
