Willie J. Berry, 92, of Rineyville, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was a member of Blue Ball Baptist Church and was retired from civil service at Fort Knox, where he worked as an electrician. He was a life-long farmer and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dona Berry Whelan; a son, Willie Judson "Little Billy" Berry Jr.; his parents, Judson and Mavis Warren Berry; a brother, James D. Berry; a sister, Nannie Belle Berry Cornett; two grandchildren, Lori Lynn and Jamie; two great-grandsons, Joseph Dohn and Allen James Hall; two uncles, Richard Warren and Haynes Berry; a son-in-law, Roger Miller; and a childhood friend, Jessie Owen Allen.
Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Ruby Sherrard Berry of Rineyville; three daughters, Betty Miller, Nannie Dohn and her husband, Fred, and Lisa Cornett and her husband, Glen, all of Rineyville; a son-in-law, Jimmy Whelan; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dona Berry Hardy of Campbellsville; a lifelong friend, Bob Edwards of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with Bros. Arnold Moon and Ray Sinkhorn officiating Burial follows in Blue Ball Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Monday.
