Wilma L. Stanfield, 66, of Constantine, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a courageous fight against lung cancer.

She was a born Sept. 26, 1946. She was a loving mother and grandmother to not only her children and grandchildren but to many who she considered ""adopted children."" She was surrounded by family and her ""adopted family"" of Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who she loved dearly. She was loved and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Payton; her mother, Helen Payton; and a sister, Bonnie Tanner.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William ""Bill"" Stanfield; four daughters, Elizabeth ""Betty"" Burns of Hudson, Billie (Bruce) Lewis of Eagan, Minn., and Barbara Stanfield (CJ Young) and Brandi Stanfield, all of Constantine; seven grandchildren, Walter Brewer III, Joshua Brewer, Tod Brewer, Justin Brewer, Bruce Lewis Jr., Brandon Lewis and Brooke Lewis; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Debra (Tommy) Mullins and Kathy (George) Weedman; and two brothers, William Payton and Michael Payton.
As Wilma requested there will be no visitation or services.
