Wyla Mae Hobbs Osborne, 89, of Rineyville, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Allegro Assisted Living in Elizabethtown.

She was a native of Hardin County, a member of St. John Catholic Church, and she worked as a telephone operator at Fort Knox and for the Rineyville Post Office.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Steven Hobbs and Mary Agnes Allen Hobbs Brangers.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bernard Osborne; two daughters, Pamela (Tom) Kentfield of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Kathy (Carlos) Smith of Elizabethtown; a sister, Sue Pence of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Dr. Jeremy (Julie) Smith, Lauren (Ryan) Simms, Andrea (Derek) Ball; and four great-grandchildren, Logan and Mason Ball, Addison Smith, and Keaton Simms.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church with the Revs. Dan Lincoln, Stanley Osborne and Bob Osborne officiating. Burial follows in St. James Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday and continues after 10 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home. A prayer vigil is at 7 p.m. Sunday.
