Imogene Adkins Thompson of Garden Grove, Calif., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at West Anaheim Medical Center surrounded by her three loving children.

She was born in Logan, W.Va., lived in Northeast Ohio, Radcliff and Elizabethtown before moving to Garden Grove. She retired from Fort Knox National Bank as vice president in 1997. Imogene was active in the Radcliff Woman's Club, Cancer Foundation, American Heart Association and the DAV.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Thompson; her parents, Florida Maude Pauley and Roscoe Adkins; a sister, Willa Mae Roe; a grandson, Michael John Schumacher; and a brother-in-law, Jennings Harrison Smith.
Imogene is survived by her three children, Holly Gwen Thompson (Cathy June Day), David Roscoe Thompson (Susan Hukill) and Jacklyn Thompson Schumacher (Michael John Schumacher); a sister, Arlene Smith; three grandchildren, Alicia Anne Fairhurst, Breony Noel Sigler and Christina Ann Thompson-Roth; six great-grandchildren, Timothy Paul Sigler, Jada Noel Sigler, Johnathan Robert Sigler, Cheyenne Noel Fairhurst, Savannah Grace Fairhurst and Jane Elizabeth Roth; and a niece, Terry Lynn Witt-Green (Art Porcelli).
A memorial service is at noon, Saturday, March 1, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
