Otis "Big O" Charles Sanders III, 26, of Vine Grove, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 6, 2014, with family and friends at his side at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

Otis was born in Mobile, Ala., on Aug. 25, 1987, to Latisha Ann Sanders and Otis Charles Sanders Jr. Otis was a native of Mobile and a member of a military family. Otis graduated from Fort Knox High School in 2005 were he was a vital member of the Fort Knox football team, wrestling team and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). After graduating, Otis attended college to become a medical code technician and later held numerous key positions throughout the community. Otis became a member of the Amazon Team where he worked for more than five years.

Otis is survived by his mother, Latisha Ann Sanders; his father, Otis Charles Sanders Jr.; a brother, Dominique Latrell Sanders; two children, Carionna and Keishawn Gill; paternal grandparents, Loretta and the late Charles Sanders; maternal grandparents, Willie and Veronica Miles; five great-aunts, Shirley Bondurant, Claresa Wright, Maxine English, Brenda (Hakim) Huff and Angelicia French; two great-uncles, Jerome French and Larryan French; aunts and uncles, Tamara Caldwell and Darren Wright, Corey Miles, Jaicy Whitaker, Keith Miles, Evelyn McSwein, Cornell Miles and Troy Sanders; his distinguished friends, Roger Hickman, Adrian Smith, Brandon Baptiste and Sharda Gill; along with a vast host of cousins, relatives, extended family and friends.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at New Hope Baptist Church in Radcliff with the Rev. O.J. Jones officiating.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
