Margaret Ann Brown Sipes, 72, of Flaherty, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

She was a lifelong member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty, where she had been a past Bible Study teacher. She retired as a personnel technician from civil service at Fort Knox. She was past vice president of Women's Aglow at Fort Knox. One of her favorite ministries was serving the families at the bereavement meals at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Anthony and Mary Helen Thomas Brown; one brother, Thomas Stephen Brown; a husband, Gilbert Lee Exler; and two stepchildren, Linda Carol Sipes and Bradley Aaron Sipes.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Thomas Carroll Sipes of Flaherty; three loving children, Clifton Michael Clark of Flaherty, Rhonda Ann Crutcher of Elizabethtown and Dana Nell Bernoff and her husband, Steve, of Flaherty; her stepchildren Marvin Sipes and his wife, Barbara, and Kenny Sipes, all of Flaherty, Mary "Hop" White and her husband, Forrest "Bo," of Gracey; 10 grandchildren, Lesley Ann Wise, Chad Michael Clark, Chase Anthony Clark, Bradley Steven Crutcher, Katelyn Michelle Crutcher, Shawna Dayle Brown, Ryan Sipes, Justin ""Pooh"" Sipes, Chase Anthony Simcoe and Terrah Ray; six great-grandchildren, Hayden Wise, Hannah Wise, Dreyton Anthony Jupin, Shayla Danielle Pennington, Ava Sipes and Abigayle Bradleigh Simcoe; three brothers, Charlie Brown of Flaherty, Robert Carl Brown and his wife, Sue, of Elizabethtown and James Anthony Brown and his wife, Julie, of Lanesville, Ind.; four sisters, Angela Waldrop of Flaherty and Linda Lucas and her husband, Bob, all of Flaherty, Rose Mary Waldrop and her husband, Merle, of Valley Station and Martha Jane Vowels of Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of friends and a former spouse, Harold Clark and his wife, Sue, of Elizabethtown.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Sipes is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty with the Rev. Anthony Chandler officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A prayer service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
