Betty Ann Fox DeWitt, 84, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Big Island, Virginia, worked as a secretary for Hardin County Soil Conservation and was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. She previously volunteered at Hardin Memorial Hospital and served on the bereavement committee at Valley View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arlton B. Craig; and her parents, Thurston Fox and Mary Reynolds Fox Bosta.

She is survived by her husband, James Edward DeWitt; two sons, Patrick (Theresa) Craig of Louisville and Anthony (Cindy) Craig of Glasgow; a stepson, Terry (Linda) DeWitt of Rineyville; a stepdaughter, Sandra (Randy) Ray of Elizabethtown; and 11 grandchildren, Jenny Ray, Kristen Ray, Brennan Ray, Tracy DeWitt, Jeffrey DeWitt, Blake Craig, Chesney Craig, Emily (Alex) Peterson, Brian Clear, Kameron Williams and Devin Williams.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Valley View Baptist Church in Vine Grove with the Rev. Chris Burton officiating. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and will continue at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Valley View Baptist Church.
