Wendell Wayne Jolly, 86, of Sonora, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was a farmer and a member of Sonora United Methodist Church. Wendell was one of the founding members of the Sonora Fish and Game Club. He was named Lifetime Sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing Pitch and Rook. He also was a past member of the U.S. Trotting Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Atwell Jolly; his parents, Cecil and Octiava Slinker Jolly; and three brothers, Ray Jolly, Dennis Jolly and Lynn Jolly.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry (Bonnie) Jolly Mark Jolly, both of Sonora; three sisters, Maple Jaggers of Florida, Donnie Harper of Bonnieville and Janet Jolly of Lebanon; a grandson, Keith (Laura) Jolly of Sonora; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora with Rev. Doug Collins officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and continues Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora.
