Myrtle Ray, 67, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Hosparus Inpatient Pavilion in Louisville.

She was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Townsen, Tennessee. She worked at the Knox and Star Light Drive-in theaters and at K-Mart in
Radcliff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Ray Jr.; her parents Marcus and Annie Ledbetter McCarter; a brother, John McCarter; and a sister, Pearl Tucker.

She is survived by her son, Robert G. Ray III and his fiancée Lisa Adkins of Radcliff; four sisters, Lou Green of Friendsville, Tennessee, Ivey Lundy and Credie Krigie, both of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Strula Green of Friendsville, Tennessee; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora with Brother Jack Heath officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
