Roy Louis Harper, 80, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Jane Harper; his parents, Alvin and Annie Klinglesmith Harper; and two brothers, Floyd Harper and Clarence Harper.
He was a past master of the Stephensburg Masonic Lodge 641 F&AM and of the Morrison Lodge 76 F&AM in Elizabethtown, the Wesley Hilltop Senior Citizens Center, The Elizabethtown American Legion, and he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Stephensburg Missionary Baptist Church and attended the Central Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Harper of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Sharon Milburn of Cecilia; a son, Timothy Harper of Custer; a brother, Earl (Carolyn) Harper of Rineyville; three sisters, Louise Fox of Elizabethtown, Rose and the Rev. Elbert (Tom) Peters of Eastview and Dorothy (Berine) Crump of Hodgenville; two grandchildren, Scott (Rechelle) Harper and Kerri Hornback; two great-grandchildren, Erin and Vada; and several stepchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Earl Sanders and the Rev. Tom Wicker officiating. Burial follows in the Glendale Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and continues from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
