Roy Lee Meredith, 83, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

He was retired from Phillip Morris in Louisville, a U.S. Army and an Air Force veteran, an avid NASCAR fan, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Meers Meredith; his parents, Emmett Lee and Idell McGrew Meredith; two sisters, Joyce Meredith and Leona Chambers; and three brothers, Elmer Lewis "Pete" Meredith, Joe Meredith and John Meredith.
He is survived by two sisters, Patsy (Harold) Cook of Stephensburg, and Dolores "Dolye" Wooden of Clarkson; a special companion/caregiver, Betty Peace of Hodgenville; and a sister-in-law, Margie Parker of Louisville.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. July 27, 2014, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Brother Eric Page officiating.
Burial follows in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and continues after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
