Alton Ray Miller, 76, of Elizabethtown, died Tues­day, Aug. 5, 2014, at his home.

He was a native of Hart County and a member of Knoxes Creek Baptist Church in Linwood.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 113 and retired from Trinity Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Damon and Agnes Miller; two brothers, Harold Graham and Robert Lee Miller; and a sister, Geneva Wright.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Barbara Adams Miller; two sons, Neal (Lynn) Miller of Shep­herdsville and Allen (Shauna) Miller of Law­rence­burg; two daughters, Nina (J.R.) Priddy of Eliza­bethtown and Denise (Mark) Hall of Eastview; five stepchildren, Ellis Raine and Steve McMillen, both of Elizabethtown, Sandra Palmer of LaGrange, Tammy Compton of Harned and Maria Smith of Hawesville; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is at 8 p.m. Sunday at Ameri­can Legion Post No. 113 on Ring Road with SAL Chaplain Larry Crabtree officiating.

Visitation is at 6 p.m. today.
