William Curtis "Bill" Wilson, 53, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at his residence.
He was a native of Miami, Florida, and worked as a comptroller for 18 years at Robbins Enterprises with Dr. Robert Robbins. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He also was very active in sports and band with his sons; he coached and was supportive of all the different sports they pursued.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James William and Elizabeth Curtis Wilson; a brother, Robert Ward Wilson; and his father-in-law, Max Peake.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cathy Peake Wilson; two sons, Zachary (Kaitlin) Wilson and Nathaniel Wilson, all of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Billie Beth Gimenez of Miami, Florida, and Elizabeth (Bill) Sampson of Gainesville, Florida; his mother-in-law, Margaret Peake of Elizabethtown; special friends, Laura and Jordan Maxey of Sanibel, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown with Dr. Michael Gibbons and the Rev. Mark Webster officiating. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
