Dane Pickerell Obituary
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Pickerell; a son, Nick (Jessica) Pickerell; a granddaughter, Ella Bain Pickerell; and a brother, Greg Pickerell.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Steadfast Baptist Church, 170 Strange Road, Hodgenville. Burial follows in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation begins after 2:30 p.m. Monday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville and continues after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

My sincere sympathy to all of Dane's family. My parents Lived in an adjoining farm off of Ennisl Mill Road . Hd and his brother were friends of my brothers. I recall many Sunday afternoon baseball games with all the neighborhood boys on

Nick, Your Dad was a special man. He didn't know a stranger. Dane and I had conversed back and forth several times. When I got to meet him finally at Beech Bend I was welcomed into your racing family. I will never forget that day. Prayers for you and our family.
