Ella Virginia "Ginny" Kean, 93, of Elizabethtown, was born May 4, 1919 in Marlow, Okla. and died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

She was a member of Glendale Christian Church, where she was an active member of the Ladies Circle and The Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a dedicated member of the Glendale Homemakers Club for more than 45 years where she had served as president. She also served as president of the Hardin County Homemakers and served on the Homemaker Extension Council.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ida Mae Littrell Carson; a son-in-law, Kenneth McMillen; and five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Billy D. Kean; one son, Michael (Nancy) Kean of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Shirley McMillen of New Albany, Ind.; four grandchildren, Kelly Kean of Elizabethtown, Laura (Tim) Harper of New Albany, Scott (Mary Ann) McMillen of Prattville, Ala., and Todd (Andrea) McMillen of New Albany; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and two cousins.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Christian Church with Brothers Mike Bell and Jeff Gaines officiating. Burial follows in Glendale Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Christian Church.
