Evelyn Richardson Tucker Sallengs, 91, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital.

She was a native of Grayson County and a member of Cecilia Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Kentucky Baptist Children's Home and J.J. Newberry's and was very proud of her cooking.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Heath; two husbands, Bluford Richardson and Damon Tucker; her parents, Clarence and Anna Mae Perry Smallwood; two sisters, Ethel Cook and Alberta Carswell; a granddaughter, Cindy Heath Steigerwald; and a grandson, Jeffrey Heath.
She is survived by her husband, Hershel Sallengs; two sons, Wayne (Dian) Richardson of Cartersville, Ga., and Bruce (Shelley) Richardson of Perryville; two daughters, Sue Thompson of Glendale and Sandra (Ted) Stiles of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Maxine Powell of Cecilia, Emogene Hagan of Elizabethtown and Bernadine (Floyd) Watkins of Paducah; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Mike Bell officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and continues at 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
