Bette Jean Mercer, 68, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at her residence.
She was a native of Limestone, Ark., a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star No. 174 and retired from Hardin County Dispatch.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Mercer; a daughter, Rhonda (Tim) Priddy of Upton; two sons, James Lanford of Elizabethtown and Ronnie (Ingrid) Lanford of Glendale; her parents, James H. and Ovalene Davis of Haysville, Kan.; two brothers, Jerald Davis of Wichita, Kan., and Terry Davis of Dallas; five grandchildren, Sarah Goff, Bradley Lanford, Nicole Lanford, Michell Priddy and Kyle Priddy; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Goff and Evan Goff.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Brown Funeral Home with Everett Roberts officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where there is an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Monday.
