Sara Johnson Obituary
She was born in Minnesota to Edward and Marilyn (Movick) Peterson, and she grew up in Illinois. Her parents preceded her in death.
She loved to travel, and was an avid boater who loved being on the water with family and friends. She worked as a civilian at Fort Knox for the past 21 years, and recently retired as director of the Plans, Analysis & Integration Office with the Garrison Command at Fort Knox.
"She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who lived every day to its fullest."
She is survived by her loving husband, James B. Johnson; son, Joshua (Melody) Roop; three stepchildren, Chris (Mara) Legere, Micah (Allison) and Darcy Johnson; three grandchildren, Lyric Roop, Sam and Will Legere; and a sister, Tracy (Sigurd) Finks.
The family will hold a private memorial service, handled by Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in her honor to Advancement Hosparus, at 3532 Ephrain McDowell Dr, c/o HICC, Louisville, KY 40205.

Sara was a great friend and I will miss her deeply. We had many good times together. When I think of Sara I can almost hear her laugh. I will never forget her. I will be praying for Jim, Josh, Tracey and rest of the family and friends.

We were so sorry to hear of Sara's passing. I was good friends of Tracy and Sara years ago in Normal, IL when we were kids. I am so truly sorry for your loss.
