Elizabeth Marancsik, 75, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

She was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States with her son and husband. She was the revered maternal head of a diverse extended family. She moved to Kentucky to be near her son after the passing of her husband of 36 years, Paul Marancsik of Morrisville, Pa.
She nurtured and reared her grandchildren and loved them with all her heart. She will be loved and missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Marancsik.
She is survived by one brother, Pista Fugudi of Hungary; a sister, Ani Fugudi of Hungary; a son, Stephen Marancsik of Elizabethtown; a stepgrandson, Ron Marancsik of Louisville; a daughter, Lisa Kostar of Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Sarah Kostar of Pennsylvania; a grandson, John Kostar Marancsik of Georgia; a granddaughter, Julianna Kostar of Pennsylvania; and two great-granddaughters, Natalya Crespo and Jozlyn Crespo, both of Radcliff; and a stepgrandchild, Keyonah Simpson of Louisville.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with the Rev. Dennis Cousens officiating. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
