Frank J. Campbell, 94, of Glasgow, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at his residence.

A native of Louisville, he was the son of the late Gladys Sanderson and Frank J. Campbell Sr. He was a former mechanic at the Ford garage in Leitchfield and a retired mail carrier at Leitchfield Post Office. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Word War II and a member of First Baptist Church in Leitchfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and mother of this three children, Dorine Higgs Campbell, to whom he was married for 57 years; a son, Larry Campbell; and a daughter, Carolyn Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Mayes Campbell; a son, Michael A. Campbell, and his wife, Nancy, of New Albany, Ind.; a stepson, Richard Mayes, and his wife, Eve, of Pocataligo, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Oval Higgs, and his wife, Beulah, of Millwood; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial follows in Layman Memorial Cemetery in Millwood.
