James Scobee Obituary

James Stephen "Steve" Scobee, 76, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Bardstown and a member of Glendale Christian Church. He was a pharmacist at Hardin Memorial Hospital and retired from Kroger Pharmacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Scobee and Edith Barnard Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joan Minton Scobee; two children, Mark (Sherry) Scobee of Nashville and Lisa Scobee of Elizabethtown; two stepchildren, Chris (Tasha) Berry of Elizabethtown and Scott (Tonya) Hornback of Russell Springs; two sisters, Emma May Robertson of Cox's Creek and Betsy Ellis of Marion, Alabama; and three grandchildren, Makaleigh Hornback, Maddie Brooke Berry and Landon Berry.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glendale Christian Church with Brother Jeff Gaines and Dillard Wells officiating. Burial follows in Glendale Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
