Marie was a next door neighbor to my grand parents, Ma and Pa Irwin for years and was constantly doing things for them, like when they gave them a party for their 50th anniversary. She is the most memorable person in my life and I loved her greatly.

Marie was the sweetest and prettiest lady in Columbia. She gave a 50th anniversary party for Ma and Pa when I was stationed in Wichita Kansas while I was in the Air Force. She is one of the most memorable persons in my life, and I loved her very much.

Marie willbe in my memories as a lady that expressed beauty from within her soul as well as physically, but most of all her love as a mother. That love was tender as new buds of spring---soft as butterfly wings---and with a whisper brought a touch of color to everything. Barbara Ann

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Ms. Marie was always so gracious and beautiful, inside and out. Whenever Southern ladies are mentioned I always think of Ms. Marie, Ms. Edith, and Ms. Reynolds. So much wit, wisdom, and grace they all exhibited. Your Mom was certainly admired, and will so be missed.
