Earnestine Hinton Womack
Earnestine Hinton Womack beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed from this earthly world into the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior on October 7, 2012. She passed away peacefully at home in West Monroe surrounded by her loving family following a long and valiant battle with lymphoma.
Earnestine was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lavelle, son Ronnie Womack and wife Sue, son, Gerald (Bud) and wife Benita, daughter Cheryl Womack, daughter Christina (Tina) McCraw and husband Chuck, daughter Colleen Simmermaker and husband Vic, 12 grandchildren and spouses, 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by brothers, Levon and Archie Hinton, and sister, Lona Johnson, all of Quitman, as well as a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services and final resting place will be at 2 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Quitman, La. Pastor Greg Clark of her home church of Cedar Crest Baptist will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 9 at Kilpatrick's Funeral Home in West Monroe and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Randy Womack, David Womack, Chad Simmermaker, Clint Simmermaker, Mark Wainwright and Scott Dimond.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to their parents' devoted caregiver, Myrtis Young, as well as Southern Care Hospice and Senior Care Services.
