Margaret R. Maynard

Margaret R. Maynard, 86, passed away March 5, 2013 at a Kansas City, MO nursing home. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 18th at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 623 Hwy 80 E, Monroe, LA.

Margaret was born to Dr James and Cora Rogers on March 12, 1926 in Naches, TX. She was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin College Nacogdoches, TX where she met and eloped with her husband of 66 years, John Maynard. She lived in Monroe, LA from 1964 until she moved to Kansas City in 2008. She was a member of the Lea Joyner United Methodist Church of Monroe and Daughters of the American Revolution. Margaret retired as a secretary from State Farm Insurance. She loved playing bridge, traveling, quilting, sewing and smocking for her granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John and a son, Pat Maynard.

Survivors include son, Mike Maynard, Albuquerque, NM and Jeff Maynard and wife, Rebecca, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Pat Maynard, Kevin Maynard, Jody Tillman, Ross Maynard, Angie Brewster, Holly Maynard and Mallory Maynard; and great grandchildren, Mabry Schoeffler, Mia Tillman, Ava Tillman and Amelia Tillman.
