Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Holland, 91, of Delhi will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi with Rev. Bernard Duchesne Jr. and Garan Lively officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery near Delhi.

Mildred was born on December 1, 1921 in Franklin Parish, LA and went home to be with her Lord and Savior August, 20, 2013 at her daughter's residence in Delhi, LA surrounded by her loving family.

Mamaw Mildred moved to Delhi in 1953. She worked at W & W Dept. Store in Delhi and was a homemaker and hard worker. She also helped her husband Prince on their farm. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering and was a very good cook.

Her family was the most important thing to her. One thing was for sure with Mamaw, she always told you what she thought whether you liked it or not. She was a fifth generation Grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Polk and Plinnie Polk Bowlin; her husbands, Prince Howard and Preston Holland; two brothers S. E. and Earl Polk, a sister Margaret Dee Bell and a son-in-law Tommy Roberts Jr.

Mildred is survived by her loving daughter Patsy Roberts; two granddaughters, Tammie Roberts and Brandi Simms and her husband Chris; two great grandsons Heath Simms and wife Stephanie and Hunter Simms and fiancé' Amanda; two great-great grandsons Ryder Simms and (soon to be) Jaxson Simms all of Delhi, LA; a sister Dorothy Hart of Winnsboro, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Simms, Heath Simms, Hunter Simms, Hunter Pruitt, Jason Nielsen and John Jennings.
