Funeral services for Roy Emory, 85, of Choudrant, LA, will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, in Ruston, with Rev. Larry Emory officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Sibley Cemetery in Sibley, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Emory was born in Choudrant, LA, on September 16, 1926, and died on March 25, 2011, in Choudrant, LA. Roy enjoyed farming, raising crops, and tending to his cows. He was employed at O'Neal Gas until the time of his retirement and was a W.W. II veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Jud Emory and Thomas Emory.

His survivors include his brothers, Pat Emory of Choudrant; John Emory and wife Sallie of Ruston; sister-in-law, Yvette Emory; nieces, Ellen Emory; Marie Clark; Janet Frazier; and Marla St. John; nephews, Kenny Emory; James Emory and wife Deborah; John Emory, Jr.; Larry Emory and wife Judy; Douglas Emory and wife Sherrie; Clyde Emory; and Thomas Emory.

Pallbearers will be John Emory, Jr, Douglas Emory, James Emory, Thomas Emory, John Emory, III, and Kelly Bagwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dan O'Neal, James (Doc) Land, Aubrey Gaston, John Arch O'Neal, and Ragan Aswell.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
