Edward E. "Bud" Hale, Jr.

Funeral services for Edward E. "Bud" Hale, Jr., 77, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Malone officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Hale passed away Friday, January 10, 2014, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and retired from the Louisiana DOTD as construction engineer for the 5th district. He later worked with Ouachita Parish Police Jury and RCH Engineering Firm as well as a consultant with other firms. Mr. Hale was a devoted LA Tech fan, enjoyed ham radio, and loved to hunt and fish. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rosa Hale; 5 sisters, Edith Skinner, Vesta Moore, Bernice Sandifer, Marjorie Sledge, and Robbie Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie "Jo" Hale; 2 daughters, Teresa Weber and husband Steven, and Patricia Botoff and husband Ronald; 2 grandchildren, Haley Weber and Scott Weber; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
