Jerry Dewayne Wells

Graveside service for Jerry Dewayne Wells, 52 of Watauga, TX formerly of Winnsboro will be at 10 AM Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Chase Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Hankins officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 PM at Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

He was born to James L. and Rena Carpenter Wells on October 6, 1960 in Winnsboro and passed from this life July 11, 2013 at his residence.

Jerry was member of Alliance Methodist Church in Fort Worth, TX. He was a graduate Winnsboro High School in 1978, and a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University (ULM) with a degree in pharmacy. He was an active pharmacist for 30 years. Jerry enjoyed attending rock and roll concerts and had a great love for his many dogs.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Sydney Sexton.

He is survived by two brothers: Roger Dale Wells of Nashville and James David Wells and wife Kristy of Winnsboro; one niece Annie Wells; two nephews Tyler Wells and Brady Wells; two great-nieces Leilauni Cage and Mary-Anne Cage; one great nephew Johnathan Parkhurst; and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coldwater Project-P.O. Box 459-Winnsboro, LA in Jerry's memory. Coldwater Project provides veterinary car for rescued animals.
