Funeral services for Trilby DaCosta Stevens, 86, of Gilbert, LA will be held 3 pm Sunday February 2, 2014 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Cemetery near Crowville, LA. Visitation will be 1 - 3 pm Sunday February 2, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Trilby was born October 5, 1927 in Newlands, Grand Cayman Islands to Oscar Vivian and Jennie Feliciana Jackson DaCosta and passed from this life on Friday January 31, 2014 at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alton Stevens; son John Lambert; daughter Gayle Stevens; grandson Lil Joe Meredith; Sisters Jesta Coe and Annis Stevens.

Survivors include her daughters: Betty Hilton and Jerry of Anacoco, LA; Deborah Chapman and Buster of Winnsboro, LA; Jenny Meredith and John of Wisner, LA; Teressa Carter of Winnsboro, LA; Kathy Sanford and Jimmy of Monroe, LA; Darlene Carter and Rusty of Oak Ridge, LA; Cynthia Huff and Todd of Winnsboro, LA; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister in laws Margie McIntyre of Baskin, LA; Martha Stevens of Crowville, LA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Blake Carter, Lance Huff, Jonathan Matthews, Scott Matthews, Jeremy Sanford and Jimmy Sanford, Jr. and Kyle Sanford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Granddaughters.
