Ruth Rountree Obituary
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Rountree, 97, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 11, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Rountree was born on February 13, 1915 in Mangham, LA and died in West Monroe, LA on January 8, 2013. She worked for 40 years at Bancroft Bag, Inc. Mrs. Rountree is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Rountree; brothers, Ray Thames and Thomas Thames; and by her sister, Loreece Regan.
Survivors include her son, Reginald "Reggie" Rountree; grandchildren, Kimberly Rountree, Glenn Rountree and Mark Rountree; great granddaughter, Katie Rountree; sisters, Mavis Mangum, Wilma Harris, and Doris Evans; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Ridge Ave. Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA.
