James Grayson Moore

Funeral service for Mr. James Grayson Moore, 86, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, May 1, 2013,in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Gordon "Skip" Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery.

Mr. Moore passed away on April 28, 2013, at his residence. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea. Mr. Moore retired from Forestkraft as an inspector. He was a member at Highland Baptist Church in West Monroe. Mr. Moore was a 50 year member of the Blue Lodge, Past Master of 2 lodges, and conferred over 250 funerals. He was a 50 year member of the Royal Arch, Past High Priest of a Chapter of Royal Arch masons, Past D.D.G.H.P. and in 1986 he served the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Louisiana. He was the I.O. recipient of The Silver Medal from the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons Int. and a 50 year Council member, past Illus. Master of a Council of Royal & Select Masters and past D.D.G.I.M. A 50 year member of the Commandery, past Commander of a Commandery of Knights Templar, served as Inspector General for Grand Commandery, served the Grand Commandery in many ways over the years and a member of Crusader of the Cross. Mr. Moore was a member and past Presiding Officer of the KYCH, I.O. member and past presiding Officer of Red Cross of Constantine and Ritualist Extraordinaire. He was a charter member of the Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies and I.O. received K.C.C.H. in 2001 (Red Hat). Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Robinson Moore and a daughter, Carol Moore Bryan.

Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Moore Zuniga of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Jamie Head Lee and husband Tim of Calhoun, LA; Luis D. Zuniga of West Monroe, LA; Ryan Zuniga of West Monroe, LA; Brandon Broom of Leesville, LA; Matthews S. Bryan of Houma, LA; brothers-in-law, Ralph E. Robinson and wife Gerrie and Lawrence M. Robinson all of West Monroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Broom, Matthew Bryan, Luis Zuniga, Ryan Zuniga, Lawrence Moore Robinson, Jr., and Tim Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be his beloved Sunday School Class and Marvin Davis, Steve Eyres, and Dale Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
