WALLINGFORD - Lorraine DeRogatis Cewe, 62, of Yalesville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. She was the wife of 44 years to David J. Cewe, Sr.

Born in Newark, N.J., on July 11, 1950, daughter of Filomena Carapella DeRogotis, Sr. Lorraine was the owner and operator of the former Connecticut School of Nails in Yalesville; she was a manicurist for many years, enjoyed cooking; loved the beach and gardening; was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was the mother of David J. Cewe, Jr., of Wallingford and Gina (Brian) Barrett, of Yalesville; she was the grandmother, of Brian Barrett, Jr., and Nicholas Barrett; she was the sister of Patricia Colberg, of Wallingford and Felix DeRogatis, Jr., of North Haven.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Thursday at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church, North Haven at 11 a.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Sister's Project through the funeral director.
