BRANFORD - Joseph Albini, 87, of Branford, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of 65 years to Eleanor Vanacore Albini.

Joseph was born in New York on Nov. 24, 1926; son of the late Igino and Amalia Foschi Albini; was a master plumber, having worked for Wyatt Oil Company and co-owner of A & B Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the National Association of Power Engineers. Joseph enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, dancing, taking cruises, was an old movie aficionado, a New York Giants and Yankees fan, enjoyed a good joke, and was a very humorous man. Father of Paul Albini and his wife, Ann Larson Albini, and Maryellen Albini. Grandfather of Malinka Aviel Albini. Predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., on Wednesday, July 9 at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Interment with full military honors followed in All Saints Cemetery.
