Kloehn, Blanche K.
Blanche Katherine Kloehn, age 91, of Omro, died peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2013, at home. Blanche was born March 27, 1922, in Harriman, TN, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Bryanton. On September 10, 1945, she married Marvin Kloehn. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1995. Blanche held jobs as a nursing assistant and home care assistant. She held a job at Oshkosh Manufacturing where she operated a punch press. She was a waitress at two of the restaurants in Omro and also worked in Ohio for the Women's Army Corps during WW II. If she knew of someone who was having a hard time, she would let them come and live with the family until they got on their feet. She was Baptist by faith.
She is survived by five daughters, Joanette (Warren) Schneider of Oshkosh, Brenda (William) Kreye of Cottage Grove, MN, Jean Genrich of Sierra Vista, AZ., Marcella Kloehn of Omro and Katherine (Jerry) Lewis of Omro; two sons, Thomas Kloehn of Oshkosh and Michael (Yong Su) Kloehn of King; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Nyokah "Mickie" Miller; son, James (Ricky); three sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Blanche will be laid to rest at the Omro Cemetery on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name.
