Shenefield, Christopher Thomas
Christopher Thomas Shenefield, of Oshkosh, WI, died suddenly on March 20, while visiting his father in Connecticut. Born March 31, 1992, he was the son of Robert and Donna Shenefield. He attended St. Joseph's School in Croton Falls, N.Y., St. James School in Carmel, N.Y., George Fisher Middle School in Carmel, N.Y., St. John Neuman Middle School in Oshkosh, WI, and was graduated from West High School, in Oshkosh, WI, in 2010. In high school, he was a member of the wrestling team. Always interested in the United States Marine Corps
, he had hoped to enlist in the Marines in which his father had served. He was an avid deer hunter, an award winning marksman, year round fisherman and devoted fitness enthusiast, who was quick to smile and was dearly loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Shenefield, Oshkosh, WI; and Donna Murray, formerly of Oshkosh, WI; his stepmother, Sally (Gardiner) Shenefield, Monroe, Ct.; brothers, Ronnie, Joshua, Jordan, Matthew and sister, Caressa Anselmo; his grandmother, Helen Shenefield, Oshkosh, WI; aunt Barbara Shenefield (Richard), Charlottesville, VA; aunt, Caroline Angiello (Joseph), Yorktown Heights, NY; aunt Kathleen Norbutt (Richard), aAmawalk, NY; uncle, Daniel (Daria), Tuxedo Park, NY; great-aunt, Mary Wrasse, Oshkosh, WI; and numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family received friends at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Pleasantville, N.Y. on Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial took place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents RC Church. A future memorial service will be held in Oshkosh, WI.
