Ford, Donald H.
Donald H. Ford, age 85, of Oshkosh, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Bethel Home. Don was born on August 9, 1928 in New York to Stanley and Lenora (Gibson) Ford. He married Mary Jo (Michels) Woldt on August 30, 1986. For many years, Don owned and operated Ford Sewing Center in Fond du Lac, then sold insurance as an independent agent. Don loved flying planes, traveling, and golfing; especially going to the Big 10 to golf with the men from church. He was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church and sang with the King's men there.
Don is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Jo; daughters, Cindy (Bill) Quarterman, Colleen (Russell) Ford-Dunker, Kelly (Dave) Whited-Ford; sons, Kevin Ford and Don (Stephanie) Ford; step-children, Mark Woldt, Lorie (Gary) Berwald, Jodi (Gregg) Brey and Jeremy (Rachel) Woldt; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Gloria) Ford, the mother of his children, Joyce Ford; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Rick Hopkins officiating. Mary Jo would like to thank Affinity Hospice, especially nurse, April; social worker, Rachel; and Chaplain Carrie. A memorial is being established in Don's name.
