Tollard, Edward Richard "Dick", age 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. He was born in Oshkosh on November 13, 1935 the son of the late Benjamin and Rose (Meidl) Tollard. On September 29, 1972 he married Patricia (Cartwright) Schmitz. Ed was a Korean War
Veteran. He served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957, 18 months of which he was in Okinawa. While in the service Ed started his apprenticeship in painting. After his discharge he finished his apprenticeship and started his life long career as a painter. He closed down his business and retired in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and joking around with people.
Ed is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter Carrie (Randy) Le Mere; sons: Kevin Tollard, Wayne (Sheila) Schmitz, Randall Schmitz, Edward John Tollard and Charles VanHandel; daughter, Lynn VanHandel; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brother, Claude (Mary) Tollard; sisters: Fran (Leo) Demski, Vivian (Terry) Miller, Darlene Curtis and Kathie (Tim) Sebora; sisters-in-law: Marie Tollard and Mary Ellen Tollard; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Anna Cartwright; and sisters-in-law: Nancy Hrubesky, Gail (Robert) Woche and Jean (Robert) Zelhofer. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Chester, Delbert, Harold and Calvin Tollard; sisters: Lorraine Graff and Elaine Haase; niece, Christine Demski; nephews: Andrew Demski and Dennis Wyman; also, his cat Justice.
