Leone Jackowski, 90, Markesan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2013, at Markesan Resident Home.

Leone was born on Aug. 22, 1922, in Berlin, to Louis and Martha (nee Nipko) Seman. She was united in marriage to Eugene W. Jackowski on Oct. 15, 1946, in Berlin. She later worked at Country Boy Supermarket, Berlin Glove Factory, Fabrico in Green Lake and P.M.I. in Markesan. Leone enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, especially her roses, bird watching and playing cards. Later in life she enjoyed reading the Bible and led Bible Study groups. She adored the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Leone is survived by her children, Dennis (Susan) Jackowski of Waunakee; Linda (Randall) Brehmer of Markesan; grandchildren, Terri (Gene) Roberts of Endeavor; Tina (special friend, Tony) Lancaste of Oshkosh; Dede (Brian) Bruss of Clintonville; Michael (special friend, Jamie) Jackowski of Green Bay; Kala (special friend, Cecil) Jackowski of Prairie du Chien; great-grandchildren, Sean and Trevor Roberts, Tony Lancaste, Brodie Harris (Bruss); brother-in-law, Gordon (Colleen) Jackowski of Lake Tomahawk; and a sister-in-law Bette Henrics of New Mexico. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Leone is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene on January 16, 2012; brothers, Leon "Bud" (Loretta) Seman who was her twin, Howard (Grace) Seman, Leonard (Helen) Grota, Edward Grota, Arthur (Alma) Grota; brothers-in-law, Longen (Angie) Jackowski, Harold (Ruth) Jackowski; and a sister-in-law, Virginia (Tom) Burns along with other relatives.

A Memorial Service for Leone will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Terrace Shores Ev. Free Church, W3278 Cty. Rd. K, Markesan, with Rev. Gary Zacharias officiating. Visitation will also take place on Saturday at the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
